On November 5, 1999, United Technological Systems, Inc. (Uni- Tel) filed the above- captioned formal complaint against MCI WorldCom Communications, Inc. (MCI) alleging, among other things, that MCI violated sections 201 and 203 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U. S. C. §§ 201 and 203, by misrepresenting its charges for telecommunications services t o Uni- Tel. 2. Subsequent to that filing, the parties entered into negotiations in an effort to settle the matter in controversy. On June 12, 2000, the parties filed a joint motion to dismiss the complaint wit h prejudice, st at ing that all mat t ers pending in the inst ant complaint have been resolved. 3. We are sat isfied that dismissing the complaint will serve the public int erest by promoting the private resolution of disputes and by eliminating the need for further litigation and the expenditure of further time and resources of the parties and the Commission. 4. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED, pursuant to sections 4( i), 4( j), and 208 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U. S.
