 WIRELESS  TELECOMMUNICATIONS  BUREAU  GRANTS  CONSENT  FOR 
 ASSIGNMENT  OF  LICENSES  FROM  FLEETTALK  PARTNERS  900  LTD.  TO  FCI  900,  INC. 


 Pursuant  to  sections  4(  i)  and  310(  d)  of  the  Communications  Act  of  1934,  as  amended,  47 
 U.  S.  C.  §§  154(  i),  310(  d),  and  section  0.331  of  the  Commission’s  rules,  47  C.  F.  R.  §  0.  331,  the 
 Wireless  Telecommunications  Bureau  approves  the  application  requesting  Commission  consent 
 to  assign  900  MHz  Specialized  Mobile  Radio  (“  SMR”)  licenses  and  authorizations  currently  held 
 by  FleetTalk  Partners  900  Ltd.  (“  FleetTalk”)  to  FCI  900,  Inc.  (“  FCI  900”),  a  wholly  owned 
 subsidiary  of  Nextel  Communications,  Inc.  (“  Nextel”).  No  comments  or  petitions  to  deny  were 
 received  in  response  to  the  Public  Notice  announcing  that  the  application  had  been  accepted  for 
 filing.  See  DA  00-  1132,  released  May  23,  2000. 


 Pursuant  to  the  proposed  asset  purchase  transaction,  FCI  900  will  acquire  63  FleetTalk 
 900  MHz  SMR  licenses,  some  of  which  are  located  in  markets  that  are  covered  by  the  Consent 
 Decree  between  the  U.  S.  Department  of  Justice  and  Nextel.  FleetTalk  and  Nextel,  however, 
 have  stated  that  the  proposed  transaction  complies  with  the  terms  of  the  Consent  Decree. 


 Pursuant  to  section  1.103  of  the  Commission’s  rules,  47  C.  F.  R.  §  1.  103,  the  consent 
 granted  herein  is  effective  upon  release  of  this  Public  Notice.  Pursuant  to  sections  1.106(  f)  and 
 1.115(  a)  of  the  Commission’s  rules,  47  C.  F.  R.  §§  1.106(  f),  1.115(  a),  petitions  for  reconsideration 
 and  applications  for  review  may  be  filed  within  thirty  days  of  the  release  of  this  public  notice.
