 WIRELESS  TELECOMMUNICATIONS  BUREAU  GRANTS  228  LOCATION  AND  MONITORING  SERVICE  LICENSES  TO  PROGENY  LMS

 On  May  4,  2000,  the  Wireless  Telecommunications  Bureau  (Bureau)  announced  that  it  is 
 prepared  to  grant  applications  for  228  licenses  to  Progeny  LMS,  a  winner  of  the  multilateration 
 Location  and  Monitoring  Service  (LMS)  auction,  provided  that  the  applicant  made  its  final 
 payment  before  the  deadline  established  by  the  Commission.  1  The  initial  final  payment  deadline 
 was  May  18,  2000.  2 


 Final  payment  was  received  for  the  licenses  by  the  payment  deadline.  Accordingly,  by  this 
 Public  Notice,  we  announce  the  grant  of  the  multilateration  LMS  licenses  listed  in  Attachment  A. 
 We  grant  these  licenses  pursuant  to  Section  309(  a)  of  the  Communications  Act,  47  U.  S.  C.  § 
 309(  a),  and  Section  0.331  of  the  Commission's  Rules,  47  C.  F.  R.  §  0.331,  because  it  will  serve  the 
 public  interest,  convenience  and  necessity.
