C. 20554 DA 00- 1600 News media information 202/ 418- 0500 Fax- On- Demand 202/ 418- 2830 Internet: http:// www. fcc. gov ftp. fcc. gov Released: July 19, 2000 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU GRANTS 228 LOCATION AND MONITORING SERVICE LICENSES TO PROGENY LMS Auction Event No. 21 Report No. AUC- 21- M (Auction No. 21) On May 4, 2000, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (Bureau) announced that it is prepared to grant applications for 228 licenses to Progeny LMS, a winner of the multilateration Location and Monitoring Service (LMS) auction, provided that the applicant made its final payment before the deadline established by the Commission. 1 The initial final payment deadline was May 18, 2000. 2 Final payment was received for the licenses by the payment deadline. Accordingly, by this Public Notice, we announce the grant of the multilateration LMS licenses listed in Attachment A. We grant these licenses pursuant to Section 309( a) of the Communications Act, 47 U. S. C. § 309( a), and Section 0.331 of the Commission's Rules, 47 C. F.
