 LETTER  REGARDING  OPTEL 


 OpTel  filed  a  request  for  a  letter  ruling  requesting  a  determination  that  the  Commission’s  rules  governing  the  disposition  of  cable  home  wiring  in  MDU  buildings  do  apply  in  a  situation  where  the 
 incumbent’s  service  has  been  terminated  by  an  individual  subscriber,  but  the  incumbent  operator  otherwise  retains  a  “legal  right  to  remain”  on  the  premises.  The  Commission  has  responded  to  OpTel’s 
 request  in  a  letter  ruling  released  today  by  the  Chief,  Cable  Services  Bureau.
