 1.  At  the  request  of  McCook  Radio  Group,  LLC  ("  petitioner"),  the  Commission  has  before  it 
 the  Notice  of  Proposed  Rule  Making,  15  FCC  Rcd  8964  (2000),  proposing  the  allotment  of  Channel 
 280C2  to  McCook,  Nebraska,  as  the  community's  fifth  or  sixth  local  commercial  FM  service.  1  ,  2 
 Petitioner  filed  comments  reiterating  its  intention  to  apply  for  the  channel,  if  allotted.  No  other 
 comments  have  been  received. 


 2.  We  believe  the  public  interest  would  be  served  by  allotting  Channel  280C2  to  McCook 
 since  it  could  provide  the  community  with  an  additional  local  aural  service.  Channel  280C2  can  be 
 allot  t  ed  t  o  McCook  in  compliance  wit  h  the  Commission's  minimum  dist  ance  separat  ion  requirement  s 
 wit  hout  the  imposit  ion  of  a  sit  e  rest  rict  ion.  3 


 3.  Accordingly,  pursuant  to  the  authority  contained  in  Sections  4(  i),  5(  c)(  1),  303(  g)  and  (r) 
 and  307(  b)  of  the  Communications  Act  of  1934,  as  amended,  and  Sections  0.61,  0.204(  b)  and  0.283  of 
 the  Commission's  Rules,  IT  IS  ORDERED,  That  effective  December  4,  2000,  the  FM  Table  of 
 Allotments,  Section  73.202(  b)  of  the  Commission's  Rules,  IS  AMENDED,  with  respect  to  the 
 community  listed  below,  to  read  as  follows:

 1  McCook  Radio  Group,  LLC,  is  also  the  petition  in  MM  Docket  00-  6  proposing  the  allotment  of  Channel  271C1  to 
 McCook.  See  15  FCC  Rcd  738  (2000).  Pursuant  to  the  counterproposal  filed  in  MM  Docket  00-  6  by  Meadowlark  Group, 
 Inc.  (RM-  9890),  Channel  275C1  instead  of  Channel  271C1  has  been  proposed  for  allotment  at  McCook. 


 2  By  this  Report  and  Order,  we  are  also  editorially  ameneding  the  FM  Table  of  Allotments  to  reflect  the  grant  of  Station 


 KRKU's  one-  step  upgrade  application  to  operate  on  Channel  253C1  in  lieu  of  Channel  253C2.

 4.  A  filing  window  for  Channel  280C2  at  McCook,  Nebraska,  will  not  be  opened  at  this  time. 
 Instead,  the  issue  of  opening  a  filing  window  for  this  channel  will  be  addressed  by  the  Commission  in  a 
 subsequent  order. 


 5.  IT  IS  FURTHER  ORDERED,  That  this  proceeding  IS  TERMINATED.
