On September 22, 2000, Verizon New England Inc., et al., filed an application for authorization to provide in- region, interLATA service originating in Massachusetts, pursuant to section 271 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U. S. C. § 271. On December 18, 2000, Verizon filed an ex parte letter in this docket withdrawing its application. 1 As such, we hereby terminate this docket. Verizon further expressed its intention to “shortly file to initiate a new application” and to incorporate the existing record in this docket into the new application.
