SEEKS FCC CONSENT TO TRANSFER CONTROL TO TLA SPECTRUM PLEADING CYCLE ESTABLISHED Communications Design, Inc. (“ CDI”), Robert C. Carroll and other stockholders of Saco River Telegraph and Telephone Company (“ SRTT”), and TLA Spectrum, LLC (“ TLA”) have filed applications pursuant to section 214 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U. S. C. § 214, requesting Commission approval to transfer control of domestic section 214 authorization held by CDI, a subsidiary of SRTT, to TLA. 1 CDI is authorized to provide domestic telecommunications services pursuant to blanket section 214 authority. The requested transfer of control is part of an agreement with TLA, SRTT and CDI. SRTT Acquisition Corp., a newly formed, wholly- owned subsidiary of TLA, will be merged into SRTT with SRTT to survive the merger. SRTT’s wholly- owned subsidiary, Saco River Communications Corporation, will continue to hold all the stock of CDI. The parties have also filed separate applications for a number of other FCC authorizations held by various subsidiaries of SRTT. 2 SECTION 214 APPLICATION Part 63 – Domestic Service (47 C. F. R. § 63.01) CDI and TLA have filed an application to transfer control of blanket domestic section 214 authorization held by CDI to TLA. The Commission reserves the right to return any application if, upon further examination, it is determined to be defective and not in conformance with the Commission’s rules or policies. Final action will not be taken on this application earlier than 15 days following the date of this notice. Interested parties may file comments or petitions to deny on or before January 12, 2001. Oppositions to such pleadings may be filed no later than January 19, 2001. All filings concerning any or all of the matters referenced in this Public Notice should refer to DA 00- 2914, as well as the specific file number of the individual application or other matter to which the fillings pertain.
