DOCKET NO. 90- 119) Comment Date: January 29, 2001 Reply Comment Date: February 13, 2001 On October 13, 2000, we received an amendment request from the Florida Regional Planning Committ ee proposing to amend its Public Safety Plan, which was adopted by the Commission on May 10, 1990, Order, General Docket 90- 119, 5 FCC Rcd 3067 (1990) and subsequently revised revised on May 7, 1991, 6 FCC Rcd 2607 (1991); November 25, 1991, 6 FCC Rcd 7180 (1991); September 17, 1993, 8 FCC Rcd 7038 (1993); March 23, 1994, 9 FCC Rcd 1644 (1994); June 19, 1995, 10 FCC Rcd 7167 (1995); September 9, 1997, (Report No. WT 97- 34); and June 16, 1999, (Report No. WT 99- 9). The instant plan amendment requests modifications that would revise the current channel allotments to reflect changes made to Appendices G and H (previously Tables IV and V, respectively), including benchmark dates. The plan modification further includes the following proposed changes: x Re- index Tables VI, VII, VIII to Tables IV, V, and VI, respectively. x Update information for Florida Committee members (Table I). x Revise Section 4.5 to define simultaneous receipt of two or more applications. x Revise Section 5.3.1 (B) for more emphasis on coverage equivalency. x Add a new Section 5.4.6 to address Radio Frequency Control Stations. In accordance with the Public Safety National Plan, each region is responsible for planning its use of public safety radio frequency spectrum in the 821- 824/ 866- 869 MHz bands. 1 The Public Safety Plan for Region 9 governs the use of frequency assignments in the 821- 824/ 866- 869 MHz within Florida. The Commission is soliciting comments from the public before taking action on this proposed plan amendment. Interested parties may file comments to the proposed amendment on or before January 29, 2001, and reply comments on or before February 13, 2001.
