 PERSONAL  COMMUNICATIONS  SERVICES  (PCS)  LICENSES

 On  April  6,  2001,  the  Wireless  Telecommunications  Bureau  announced  that  it  was  prepared  to  grant  applications  for  eleven  (11)  licenses  to  winning  bidders  in  the  C  and  F  Block  Broadband  Personal 
 Communications  Services  (PCS)  Auction  (Auction  35),  provided  that  each  applicant  made  full  and  timely  payment  of  the  remaining  balance  of  its  winning  bid.  1  The  final  payment  deadline  was  May  4,  2001.  2 


 The  Commission  received  full  and  timely  payment,  as  required  by  Section  1.2109(  a)  of  the  Commission’s  rules,  for  ten  (10)  licenses.  3  Additionally,  NTCH,  Inc.  (“  NTCH”),  which  was  not  listed 
 among  the  applicants  on  the  Prepared  to  Grant  PN,  paid  the  full  remaining  balance  of  its  winning  bids  on  May  7,  2001.  Accordingly,  by  this  Public  Notice,  we  announce  the  grant  of  the  seventeen  (17)  C  and  F 
 Block  Broadband  PCS  licenses  listed  in  Attachment  A.  We  grant  these  licenses  pursuant  to  Section  309(  a)  of  the  Communications  Act  of  1934,  as  amended,  47  U.  S.  C.  §  309(  a),  and  Section  0.331  of  the 
 Commission's  Rules,  47  C.  F.  R.  §  0.331,  because  it  will  serve  the  public  interest,  convenience  and  necessity. 


 This  Public  Notice  contains  the  following  Attachments:
