These services allow an end user to match a telephone number with a customer name and address, as opposed to traditional directory assistance services in which an end user with a customer name seeks to find a telephone number. In its petition, Qwest points out that certain of its operating companies have obtained waivers of the Commission’s comparably efficient interconnection (CEI) requirements in order to provide reverse directory assistance services on an integrated basis without preparing or complying with CEI plans. Qwest requests extension of these waivers to the extent necessary to permit all its operating companies to provide operator- assisted reverse directory assistance on an integrated basis without preparing or complying with such plans. On June 13, 2001, Qwest was granted special temporary authority to provide operator- assisted reverse directory assistance services on an integrated basis. Interested parties may file comments regarding the Qwest petition no later than July 2, 2001, with the Secretary, FCC, at 445 12th Street, S. W., TW- B204, Washington, DC 20554.
