(Iowa Telecom) filed an application requesting that the Commission issue an order, pursuant to section 251( h)( 2) of the Communications Act, deeming Lost Nation- Elwood Telephone Company (Lost Nation) to be the incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC) in Oxford Junction, Iowa, and reclassifying Iowa Telecom as a competitive local exchange carrier. Iowa Telecom further requests that the Commission grant Iowa Telecom the same interconnection rights with Lost Nation in Oxford Junction provided in section 251( c) of the Act for other competitive local exchange carriers. Interested parties may file comments regarding the Iowa Telecom Application no later July 25, 2001, with the Secretary, FCC at 445 12 th Street, SW, TW- B204, Washington, DC 20554. Oppositions or responses to these comments may be filed with the Secretary, FCC no later than August 9, 2001. All pleadings are to reference CC Docket No. 01- 139.
