 Phase  I  Mandatory  Electronic  Filing  Deadline  Extended  for  PCIA  and  ITA 
 New  Deadline  is  July  25,  2001 


 In  a  letter  dated  July  6,  2001,  the  Personal  Communications  Industry  Association  (PCIA)  and  the 
 Industrial  Telecommunications  Association  (ITA)  were  granted  an  extension  of  time  to  meet  the 
 mandatory  electronic  filing  deadline  for  Land  Mobile  Phase  I  applications.  The  new  deadline  is  July  25, 
 2001.  In  addition  to  extending  the  mandatory  electronic  filing  deadline,  the  effective  date  of  the  “unified 
 dismissal  policy”  has  also  been  extended  to  July  25,  2001.  This  extension  synchronizes  the 
 implementation  of  the  “unified  dismissal  policy”  for  all  Land  Mobile  Phase  I,  Phase  II,  and  Phase  III 
 services.  The  text  of  the  letter  is  attached  to  this  public  notice.
