 PERSONAL  COMMUNICATIONS  SERVICES  (PCS)  LICENSES

 On  July  27,  2001,  the  Wireless  Telecommunications  Bureau  announced  that  it  was  prepared  to  grant  applications  for  sixty-  two  (62)  licenses  to  winning  bidders  in  the  C  and  F  Block  Broadband 
 Personal  Communications  Services  (PCS)  Auction  (Auction  35),  provided  that  each  applicant  made  full  and  timely  payment  of  the  remaining  balance  of  its  winning  bid.  1  The  payment  deadline  was  August  10, 
 2001.  2 
 The  Commission  received  full  and  timely  payment,  as  required  by  Section  1.2109(  a)  of  the  Commission’s  rules,  for  fifty  (50)  licenses.  Accordingly,  by  this  Public  Notice,  we  announce  the  grant  of 
 the  fifty  (50)  C  and  F  Block  Broadband  PCS  licenses  listed  in  Attachment  A.  We  grant  these  licenses  pursuant  to  Section  309(  a)  of  the  Communications  Act  of  1934,  as  amended,  47  U.  S.  C.  §  309(  a),  and 
 Section  0.331  of  the  Commission's  Rules,  47  C.  F.  R.  §  0.331,  because  it  will  serve  the  public  interest,  convenience  and  necessity.
