In response to a petition filed by Jeffrey A. Bruton (“ Bruton”) the Commission has before it for consideration the Notice of Proposed Rule Making, adopted May 16, 2001 and released on May 25. 2001, DA No. 01- 1291, requesting the allotment of Channel 272A at Waitsburg, Washington. Neither Bruton nor any other party filed comments in response to the Notice. 2. As stated In the Notice, a showing of continuing interest is required before a channel will be allotted. It is the Commission's policy to refrain from making an allotment to a community absent an expression of interest. Therefore, since no such continuing interest has been expressed for an allot ment at Wait sburg, we will dismiss Brut on’s proposal. 3. In view of the above, IT IS ORDERED, That the Petition for Rule Making filed by Jeffrey A. Bruton (RM- 10115), requesting the allotment of Channel 272A at Waitsburg, Washington, IS DISMISSED. 4.
