The tutorial scheduled for the morning of September 7 has not been cancelled. The morning tutorial, “Adaptive Antennas: Technologies, Performance, Regulatory Issues” will be presented by Dr. Marc Goldburg of ArrayComm, Inc., in the Commission meeting room on September 7 from 9: 30 a. m. to 12: 00 p. m. Dr. Goldburg will discuss how ever- increasing demands for radio spectrum and affordable end- user services make spectral and economic efficiencies imperative for wireless systems. He will show how adaptive antennas (so- called “smart antennas”) provide significant link budget improvements and interference mitigation in systems, leading to improved coverage, capacity and other operational benefits.
