DOCKET NO. 90- 53) Comment Date: November 1, 2001 Reply Date: November 16 2001 On September 10, 2001, the Region 19 (New England) 800 MHz Radio Planning Committee submitted a proposed amendment to its Public Safety Plan that would revise the current channel allotments to reflect changes made as a result of its eighth window application process. The requested amendment proposes modification of the Region’s frequency allocation tables to provide new assignments (see Region 19’s proposed “WINDOW EIGHT CHANNEL ALLOCATIONS, attached as Appendix 1) for the Massachusetts State Police; Farmington, Connecticut Police Department; and the West Springfield, Massachusetts Fire Department. In accordance with the National Public Safety Plan, each region is responsible for planning its use of public safety radio frequency spectrum in the 821- 824/ 866- 869 MHz bands. 1 The Public Safety Plan for Region 19, which was adopted by the Commission on April 26, 1990, governs the use of frequency assignments in the 821- 824/ 866- 869 MHz within the New England area. 2 The Commission is soliciting comments from the public before taking action on this proposed plan amendment.
