The Allocations Branch has before it a multiple docket Notice of Proposed Rule Making 1 setting forth four separate proposals to allot an FM channel to a specific community. Each petitioner filed comments in support of its proposal reaffirming its intention to apply for the specified channel, if allotted. Each proposal complies with all Commission technical requirements and we continue to believe that each proposal would serve the public interest. Accordingly, we adopt each proposal as originally proposed. 2. This is a multiple docket proceeding initiated in response to a Commission Public Not ice released October 2, 1998 (DA 98- 1987). We are combining separate FM allotment proposals into a single Report and Order. Each proposal has its own docket and rule making number and the Commission’s Reference Center has maintained a separate file for each docket. We discuss below the following proposals: A. MM Docket No. 00- 222; RM- 10002 Action: At the request of Iowa- Keokuk Radio (Russell Johnson, sole proprietor), we are allotting Channel 246A at North English, Iowa, as the community’s first local aural transmission service. Coordinates: The reference coordinates for Channel 246A at North English are 41- 27- 15 North Latitude and 92- 07- 21 West Longitude. Additional Information: This allot ment requires a sit e rest rict ion of 7. 7 kilomet ers (4. 8 miles) southwest of city reference coordinates, in order to protect the signal of Station WMT- FM, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Channel 243C1. David Hedrick, we are allotting Channel 240A at Pendleton, South Carolina, as the community’s first local aural transmission service. Coordinates: The reference coordinates for Channel 240A at Pendleton, are 34- 38- 49 North Latitude and 82- 46- 37 West Longitude. MM Docket No. 00- 224; RM- 10004 Action: At the request of Stargazer Broadcasting, Inc., we are allotting Channel 299A at Hamilton, Texas, as the community’s second local aural transmission service and first local FM broadcast service. Additional Information: This allot ment requires a sit e rest rict ion of 25 kilomet ers (15. 5 miles) northwest of city reference coordinates, in order to protect the signals of Station KWFR( FM), San Angel, Texas, on Channel 270C1 and Station KZMP- FM, Azle, Texas, on Channel 269C. The window period for filing applications for these allotments will not be opened at this time.
