 BELLSOUTH  FILES  REVISED  COST  INFORMATION  IN  THE  COST  REVIEW 
 PROCEEDING  FOR  RESIDENTIAL  AND  SINGLE-  LINE  BUSINESS  SUBSCRIBER 
 LINE  CHARGE  (SLC)  CAPS

 By  Public  Notice  dated  September  17,  2001,  the  Common  Carrier  Bureau  (Bureau) 
 initiated  the  Commission’s  cost  review  proceeding  to  determine  the  appropriate  residential  and 
 single-  line  business  subscriber  line  charge  (SLC)  caps  for  price  cap  local  exchange  carriers 
 (LECs).  On  October  5,  2001,  the  Bureau  issued  a  Public  Notice  granting  several  price  cap  LECs’ 
 request  for  a  limited  extension  of  time  in  which  to  file  their  cost  submissions.  Pursuant  to  that 
 Public  Notice,  price  cap  LECs,  including  BellSouth  Telecommunications,  Inc.  (BellSouth), 
 submitted  cost  information  on  November  16,  2001.  On  December  7,  2001,  BellSouth  filed 
 corrected  cost  information,  including  loop  material  costs  for  single  line  business  lines  that 
 inadvertently  had  been  excluded  from  its  November  16  filing.  We  are  providing  notice  of  this 
 filing  so  that  parties  may  comment  on  BellSouth’s  corrected  December  7  cost  information.

 Commission’s  Electronic  Comment  Filing  System  (ECFS)  at  http://  www.  fcc.  gov/  e-  file/  ecfs.  html  and 
 on  the  Competitive  Pricing  Division’s  website  at  http://  www.  fcc.  gov/  ccb/  cpd/.  Parties  are  reminded 
 that  comments  are  due  no  later  than  January  24,  2002,  and  reply  comments  are  due  no  later  than 
 February  14,  2002  in  this  proceeding.  When  filing  cost  information  and  comments,  parties 
 should  reference  CC  Docket  Nos.  96-  262  and  94-  1.
