(BellSouth) filed a joint application for authorization to provide in- region, interLATA service originating in Georgia and Louisiana, pursuant to section 271 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U. S. C. § 271. On December 20, 2001, BellSouth filed an ex parte letter in this docket withdrawing its application. 1 As such, we hereby terminate this docket. BellSouth further expressed its intention to “shortly file to initiate a new application” and to incorporate the existing record in this docket into the new application.
