R. C. Inc., a winner of the 800 MHz Specialized Mobile Radio (SMR) Service General Category (851- 854 MHz) and Upper Band (861- 865 MHz) licenses (Auction 34), provided that applicant made its final payment before the deadlines established by the Commission. 1 The payment deadline was February 12, 2001. 2 Final payment was received for the 6 licenses by the payment deadline. Accordingly, by this Public Notice we announce the grant of the 800 MHz Specialized Mobile Radio (SMR) Service General Category (851- 854 MHz) and Upper Band (861- 865 MHz) licenses listed in Attachment A. We grant these licenses pursuant to Section 309( a) of the Communications Act, 47 U. S. C. § 309( a), and Section 0.331 of the Commission's Rules, 47 C. F. R. § 0.331, because it will serve the public interest, convenience and necessity.
