C. 20554 DA 02- 1423 June 18, 2002 WIRELESS TELECOMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 26 (NEBRASKA) 700 MHz REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES FIRST MEETING The Region 26 (Nebraska) 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee Convener announces that the initial meeting of Region 26 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee will be held on August 8, 2002 at 10: 00 a. m., at the Buffalo County Law Enforcement Center, Multipurpose Room, 2 nd Floor, 2025 Avenue A, Kearney, Nebraska. The purpose of the meeting is to elect a Regional Chairperson and begin the formation of a coordinated regional plan for Region 26. The Region 26 (Nebraska) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole purpose or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 26 would utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non- governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent your agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of new public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band are encouraged to attend.
