 ORDER
 Adopted: July 3, 2002 Released: July 3, 2002
By the Chief, Policy Division, International Bureau:

 1. Pursuant to section 1.46 of the Commission’s rules, 1 Americatel Corporation and Telecom Italia of North America, Inc. (collectively, Applicants), filed a request for an extension of time
to file their reply to the Opposition filed by AT& T Corporation 2 in the above captioned proceeding. 3 Under the established pleading schedule, reply comments are due by July 3, 2002. 4 Applicants request
that the reply comment date be extended until July 12, 2002. We find that it will serve the public interest to grant this short extension of time.

 2. Applicants state that they need an extension of time to obtain additional information from Argentina and other sources in support of their application. They state that an extension until July 12,
2002 will allow them sufficient time to obtain such information and prepare a reply. Applicants further state that counsel for AT& T does not object to such an extension. 5

 3. Extensions of time are not routinely granted. 6 We find in this case, however, that the Applicants have shown that it will serve the public interest to grant this short extension of time. Allowing
the Applicants to have a short extension to obtain additional information in support of their application
