 WIRELESS  TELECOMMUNICATIONS  BUREAU  GRANTS  FOURTEEN  UPPER  AND  LOWER  PAGING  BANDS  LICENSES 


 AUCTION  EVENT  NO.  40 
 Report  No.  AUC-  40  (Auction  No.  40) 
 On  July  12,  2002,  the  Wireless  Telecommunications  Bureau  announced  that  it  was  prepared  to  grant  applications  for  fourteen  (14)  licenses  to  a  winning  bidder  in  the  Upper  and  Lower  Paging  Bands 


 Auction  (Auction  No.  40),  provided  that  the  applicant  made  full  and  timely  payment  of  the  remaining  balance  of  its  winning  bids.  1  The  payment  deadline  was  July  26,  2002. 


 The  Commission  received  full  and  timely  payment,  as  required  by  Section  1.2109(  a)  of  the  Commission’s  rules,  for  the  licenses  listed  in  Attachment  A.  Accordingly,  by  this  Public  Notice,  we 
 announce  the  grant  of  the  Upper  and  Lower  Paging  Bands  licenses  listed  in  Attachment  A.  We  grant  these  licenses  pursuant  to  Section  309(  a)  of  the  Communications  Act  of  1934,  as  amended,  47  U.  S.  C.  § 
 309(  a),  and  Section  0.331  of  the  Commission’s  rules,  47  C.  F.  R.  §  0.331,  because  it  will  serve  the  public  interest,  convenience  and  necessity. 


 This  Public  Notice  contains  the  following  Attachments: 
 Attachment  A:  List  of  Licenses  the  Wireless  Telecommunications  Bureau  is  Granting. 
 Attachment  B:  Instructions  for  Searching  for  Applications  Listed  in  Attachment  A  Using  ULS.
