Interested parties may now determine whether an application, which has been accepted for filing and for which an action has been taken, was filed via paper or electronically by two methods. First, on all IBFS Public Notice Reports, every application file number is followed by either an “E” or a “P”. “E” designates electronically- filed applications and P designates paper- filed applications. IBFS Public Notices Reports are available either in hard copy at the Commission or by accessing the IBFS Public Notice Reports through the IBFS Web Site at www. fcc. gov/ ibfs. The following demonstrates how applications appearing in IBFS Public Notice Reports identify electronically- and paper- filed applications using “E” and “P.” ______________________________________________________________________ ITC- 214- 20020117- 00008 E ABC Communications Corp International Telecommunications Certificate Service( s): Global or Limited Global Resale Service Application for authority to provide service in accordance with the provisions of Section 63.18( e)( 2) of the rules. ITC- 214- 20020501- 00010 P XYZ Telecommunications Company International Telecommunications Certificate Service( s): Global or Limited Global Facilities- Based AND Resale Service Application for authority to operate as a facilities based carrier in accordance with the provisions of Section 63.18( e)( 1) of the rules, and also to provide service in accordance with the provisions of Section 63.18( e)( 2) of the rules. ______________________________________________________ Second, the IBFS Web Site search capability also offers customers the ability to determine how an application was filed as soon as it has been accepted for filing. By using the Search 1 Tool feature, all application query results now display either an “E” or a “P” immediately after the file number to designate either electronically- filed or paper- filed applications, respectively. The following demonstrates a search result identifying an application as paper-filed. Please remember to look for these designations in the future when researching IB application filings.
