On July 19, 2002, Verizon Telephone Companies (Verizon) filed Transmittal No. 224 to revise Tariff FCC Nos. 1 1 and 11 2 , Access Service, to become effective August 3, 2002. Verizon proposes to revise its IntelliLight Broadband Transport (IBT) Service by allowing IBT to connect the collocated space of the same or of two different collocated customers located in different wire centers. 1 Verizon Tariff FCC No. 1 was previously Bell Atlantic Telephone Companies Tariff FCC No. 1. This tariff was reissued as Verizon Tariff FCC No. 1 on April 13, 2001 under Verizon Transmittal No. 23. 2 Verizon Tariff FCC No. 11 was previously Bell Atlantic Telephone Companies Tariff FCC No. 11. This tariff was reissued as Verizon Tariff No. 11 on April 13, 2001 under Verizon Transmittal No. 24. 1 Federal Communications Commission DA 02- 1885 2 2. The revisions in this transmittal raise the same issues regarding rate levels, rate structures, and terms and conditions of collocation services that are subject to the investigation of Bell Atlantic Operating Companies’ Collocated Interconnection Service. Therefore, with respect to the rates, terms and conditions affecting Collocated Interconnection Service, Transmittal No. 224 is suspended for one day and will be subject to the investigation initiated in the Virtual Collocation Tariff Suspension Order, 3 Phase II Designation Order, 4 Bell Atlantic New Expanded Interconnection Suspension Order, 5 and NYNEX New Virtual Expanded Interconnection Suspension Order. 6 This transmittal will also be subject to an accounting order to facilitate refunds that may later prove necessary. 3. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that, pursuant to section 204( a) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, and the authority delegated pursuant to sections 0.91 and 0.291 of the Commission’s Rules, the revisions to Verizon’s IBT Service relating to Collocated Interconnection Service filed in Tariff FCC Nos. 1 and 11 under Transmittal No. 224 ARE SUSPENDED for one day from the August 3, 2002 effective date, and investigations of the referenced transmittal are instituted and incorporated with CC Docket Nos. 94- 97, 96- 165, and 98- 240. 4. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that, pursuant to sections 4( i) and 204( a) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, Verizon SHALL KEEP accurate account of all amounts received by the reason of the rates that are subject of this investigation. 5. IT IS FUTHER ORDERED that Verizon SHALL FILE tariff revisions within five business days of the release of this order to reflect this suspension.
