The Telecommunications Access Policy Division (Division) has under consideration a request filed by Nelson County Public Schools, Lovingston, Virginia (Nelson County). 1 Nelson County seeks an extension of the deadline for FCC Forms 472 filed in relation to Nelson County’s request for discounts in Funding Year 2000 of the schools and libraries universal service mechanism. 2 Nelson County does not specifically identify the funding request numbers (FRNs) for which it seeks an extension. 3 Thus, for purposes of the instant request, we consider all the FRNs that received funding commitments from its Funding Year 2000 application, FRNs 418862, 419213, 420532, and 419110. 4 Upon our review of the record, 1 Letter from W. Ernest Worley, Nelson County Public Schools, to Federal Communications Commission, filed April 9, 2002 (Request for Review). 2 See Request for Review. The deadline for Nelson County’s invoices was January 31, 2002. See SLD website, What’s New November 2001 (“ FRNs with Forms 486 postmarked ON OR BEFORE November 12, 2001: Invoices (BEARs or SPIs) must be postmarked no later than January 31, 2002.”). Previously, this funding period would be referred to as Funding Year 3. Funding periods are now described by the year in which the funding period starts. Thus the funding period which began on July 1, 2000 and ends on June 30, 2001 is now called Funding Year 2000. The funding period which began on July 1, 2001 and ends on June 30, 2002, previously described as Funding Year 4, is now called Funding Year 2001, and so on. 3 See Request for Review. 4 See Letter from Schools and Libraries Division, Universal Service Administrative Company, to Priscilla Hanger, Nelson County School District, dated April 14, 2000. 1 Federal Communications Commission DA 02- 2420 2 however, we find that SLD approved Nelson County’s request to extend the invoicing deadline for FRNs 418862, 419213, 420532, and 419110. 5 Accordingly, the Division dismisses Nelson County’s Request for Review as moot. 2. ACCORDINGLY, IT IS ORDERED, pursuant to authority delegated under sections 0.91, 0.291, and 54.722( a) of the Commission’s rules, 47 C. F. R. §§ 0.91, 0.291, and 54.722( a), that the Request for Review filed by Nelson County Public Schools, on April 9, 2002, IS DISMISSED as moot. FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION Mark G.
