 1.  In  response  to  a  petition  filed  by  Katherine  Pyeatt  (“  Pyeatt”)  the  Commission  has  before  it  for 
 consideration  the  Notice  of  Proposed  Rule  Making,  adopted  October  17,  2001,  and  released  on 
 October  26,  2001,  DA  No.  01-  2489,  requesting  the  allotment  of  Channel  224A  at  Wickett,  Texas. 
 Neither  Pyeatt  nor  any  other  party  filed  comments  in  response  to  the  Notice. 


 2.  As  stated  In  the  Notice,  a  showing  of  continuing  interest  is  required  before  a  channel  will  be 
 allotted.  It  is  the  Commission's  policy  to  refrain  from  making  an  allotment  to  a  community  absent  an 
 expression  of  interest.  Therefore,  since  no  such  continuing  interest  has  been  expressed  for  an 
 allot  ment  at  Wicket  t  ,  we  will  dismiss  Pyeat  t  ’s  proposal. 


 3.  In  view  of  the  above,  IT  IS  ORDERED,  That  the  Petition  for  Rule  Making  filed  by  Katherine 
 Pyeatt  (RM-  10308),  requesting  the  allotment  of  Channel  224A  at  Wickett,  Texas,  IS  DISMISSED. 


 4.  IT  IS  FURTHER  ORDERED,  That  this  proceeding  IS  TERMINATED.
