C. 20554 In the Matter of Sammons Communications of Connecticut, Inc., Petition for Reconsideration of Order adopted on Appeal of Local Rate Order of Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ORDER OF DISMISSAL Adopted: October 23, 2002 Released: October 25, 2002 By the Deputy Chief, Policy Division, Media Bureau: 1. By letter dated September 3, 2002, we asked petitioner, Sammons Communications of Connecticut, Inc. whether it had a continuing interest in Commission action on its petition for reconsideration filed April 10, 1995 of an order 1 adopted by the former Cable Services Bureau on March 9, 1995. The Cable Services Bureau order resolved an appeal filed by Sammons of a rate order issued by the Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control on August 17, 1994. In the September 3 letter, we cited extensive statutory changes in cable rate regulation, the possibility of resolution of the issues between the parties, and significant changes in franchise ownership as reasons the petitioner might no longer be interested in Commission action on its petition. With no objection heard from petitioner, we are dismissing the petition. 2. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that the petition for reconsideration by Sammons Communications of Connecticut, Inc. filed April 10, 1995 seeking review of an order 2 adopted by the Cable Services Bureau on March 9, 1995 on an appeal of a rate order issued by the Connecticut DPUC on August 17, 1994 IS DISMISSED. 3. This action is taken pursuant to authority delegated by section 0.283 of the Commission’s rules. 47 C. F. R. § 0.283. FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION John B.
