 Wireless  Telecommunications  Bureau  Reminds  Filers  of  Effective  Date  for  Mandatory  Electronic  Filing  of  FCC  Form  602 
 In  July  2002,  the  Wireless  Telecommunications  Bureau  (Bureau)  released  a  public  notice  that  announced  electronic  filing  of  FCC  Form  602,  FCC  Ownership  Disclosure  Information  for 
 the  Wireless  Telecommunications  Services  (Form  602)  would  be  available  beginning  September  10,  2002.  1  In  the  July  2002  public  notice  the  Bureau  indicated  there  would  be  a  three-  month 
 transition  period  from  the  date  electronic  filing  of  Form  602  became  available  until  electronic  filing  of  Form  602  became  mandatory.  2 


 On  September  10,  2002,  the  Bureau  released  a  subsequent  public  notice  that  announced  electronic  filing  of  Form  602  was  available  and  that  beginning  December  10,  2002,  electronic 
 filing  of  Form  602  becomes  mandatory.  3  Both  the  July  2002  public  notice  and  the  September  2002  public  notice  indicated  the  Bureau  would  release  a  public  notice  approximately  30  days 
 prior  to  the  date  (i.  e.,  December  10,  2002)  mandatory  electronic  filing  of  Form  602  takes  affect  in  order  to  remind  filers  of  the  ensuing  date.  4 


 This  public  notice  reminds  filers  that  beginning  December  10,  2002,  Form  602  must  be  filed  electronically  pursuant  to  section  1.913  of  the  Commission’s  rules.  5 
 Forms  filed  manually  and  received  at  the  Commission  on  or  after  December  10,  2002  will  not  be  accepted.  The  Bureau  encourages  filers  to  consult  the  July  2002  and  September  2002  public 
 notices  regarding  additional  issues  related  to  electronic  filing  of  Form  602.
