This is a long term project aimed at bringing beneficial licensing system changes to the public. To that end, the FCC, Office of the Managing Director, is soliciting customer insight into the electronic licensing experience. Individual licensing systems are continually making improvements, and this project is looking at possible improvements across FCC systems. We would like to hear about your electronic licensing system experience, including filing a licensing application, customer assistance available for licensing systems, availability of application status, look and feel of Internet filing, and any other topic important to you concerning FCC licensing systems. High priority improvements across licensing systems may begin to be implemented during fiscal year 2003. Customers include organizations and individuals that use any or all of the following systems, or individuals or organizations that need to gather licensing- related data from these systems: € Consolidated Database System (CDBS) € Broadband Licensing System (BLS) € Universal Licensing System (ULS) € International Bureau Filing Systems (IBFS) € Cable Operation and Licensing System (COALS) € Equipment Authorization System (EAS) € Experimental Licensing System (ELS) € Commission Registration System (CORES). Some information has already been received from customers providing input to recent licensing systems improvements, and that input need not be entered again through a response to this public notice. This notice targets organizations and individuals not already heard, so their comments and suggestions can be recorded. Please send your comments to the FCC via electronic mail to Syscomments@ fcc. gov by March 28, 2002. Please provide us with your name, the name of your organization, your e- mail and a daytime phone number. If you have multiple suggestions or comments, please prioritize your comments and suggestions with the most important listed first. For example, if you suggest a change in the interface for an electronic application filing, please indicate how much time per license such a change would save you.
