PETITIONS FOR RECONSIDERATION AND CORRECTION 1. In this Public Notice, we seek comment on two petitions filed in connection with the Commission’s January 31, 2002 Wisconsin Order, which required Bell Operating Companies (“ BOCs”) to set their intrastate payphone line rates according to the “new services” test. 1 On February 28, 2002, the Wisconsin Pay Telephone Association, Inc., filed a petition for reconsideration of the Wisconsin Order, alleging that the Commission erred by declining to review the cost support materials filed by Verizon North and Ameritech. On March 4, 2002, a group of Verizon telephone companies 2 filed a petition for correction, alleging that the Wisconsin Order improperly imposes the new services test and other BOC requirements on Verizon North, an former GTE company allegedly not subject to such requirements. II. PROCEDURAL MATTERS 2.
