 THE  WIRELESS  TELECOMMUNICATIONS  BUREAU  ANNOUNCES  THE  GRANT  OF  LICENSES  TO  OPERATE  IN 
 THE  MULTIPLE  ADDRESS  SYSTEMS  BANDS 
 Auction  No.  42 
 On  March  8,  2002,  the  Wireless  Telecommunications  Bureau  announced  that  it  was  prepared  to  grant  thirteen  long-  form  applications  (FCC  Form  601)  for  licenses  to  operate  in  the  Multiple  Address  Systems 
 bands,  provided  that  the  applicants  submit  a  final  payment  on  the  licenses  by  either  the  initial  or  late  payment  deadline.  1  Accordingly,  on  April  2,  2002,  we  granted  a  long-  form  application  for  licenses  that 
 are  listed  in  the  Attachment.  We  granted  this  application  pursuant  to  Section  309(  a)  of  the  Communications  Act  of  1934,  as  amended,  2  and  Section  0.331  of  the  Commission’s  Rules  3  because  it  will 
 serve  the  public  interest,  convenience  and  necessity.
