C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418- 0500 Internet: http:// www. fcc. gov TTY: 1- 888- 835- 5322 DA 03 – 1566 May 13, 2003 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ANNOUNCES RADIO SERVICE CODES FOR LICENSES LISTED ON TRANSFER OF CONTROL AND ASSIGNMENT OF AUTHORIZATION APPLICATIONS WILL NOW BE DISPLAYED IN THE UNIVERSAL LICENSING SYSTEM Beginning May 12, 2003, transfer of control and assignment of authorization (TC/ AA) applications in the Universal Licensing System (ULS) will display the radio service code for each call sign listed on an application. Prior to this enhancement, the code “AL” was displayed in lieu of the actual radio service code. The changes can be noticed in two places: 1) Online Filing – Print Preview: After an application is submitted electronically, the “Print Preview” button will launch the application that was just submitted and the application will display the radio service code for each call sign listed on the application. 2) Application Search: Any application filed on or after May 12, 2003 that is viewed through the ULS Application Search will display the radio service code for each call sign listed on the application. This enhancement provides direct and useful information to the public and Commission staff regarding the types of wireless licenses listed on TC/ AA applications.
