On Tuesday, July 1, 2003, the Region 24 800 MHz NPSPAC Regional Planning Committee meeting will convene at 9: 00 a. m. at the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency, 2302 Militia Drive, Jefferson City, Missouri. The agenda for this meeting includes: € New Applications for 800 MHz NPSPAC spectrum within Region 24, € Update on 800 MHz re- banding and its possible effect on Region 24, € Potential repacking of the existing 800 MHz NPSPAC county channel allotments, € Potential for expanding the NPSTC- sponsored CAPRAD database to include 800 MHz regional allotments, and € Closing discussions. On Tuesday, July 1, 2003, the Region 24 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee meeting will convene at 10: 00 a. m. at the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency, 2302 Militia Drive, Jefferson City, Missouri. The agenda for this meeting includes: € Status on the approval process of the Region 24 700 MHz regional plan and comments on the adjacent region plan response. (over) € CAPRAD access at the regional planning level and possible enhancements that allow improved spectrum efficiency when utilizing county channel allotments. € Wideband data applications in Missouri € Overview of application process and coordination of 700 MHz Public Safety access via the CAPRAD database. Upon completion of the 700 MHz Region 24 Regional Planning Committee meeting, at approximately 11: 00 am, the Region 24 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee will convene a meeting for the express purpose of initiating consideration within the Region of coordination procedures for the recently allocated 4.9 GHz Public Safety band. Topics to be discussed will be: € An overview of 50 MHz of spectrum allocated to Public Safety in the 4.9 GHz band, € A review of FCC Docket 00- 32 and the parameters outlined for agencies to operate in the 4.9 GHz band, € The FCC’s requirement for a plan to be developed by the 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee for the implementation of 4.9 GHz spectrum in each region within 12 months, and € Consideration for standards development in the 4.9 GHZ Public Safety band. Each of the Region 24 Public Safety Planning Committee meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in Missouri whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non- governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of new public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band, 800 MHz band and 4.9 GHz band within Region 24 should plan to attend. Region 24 welcomes all interested parties to attend, participate and volunteer for committee assignments.
