Washington, D.C. 20554 COMMENT SOUGHT ON CTIA PETITION FOR DECLARATORY RULING ON LOCAL NUMBER PORTABILITY IMPLEMENTATION ISSUES (CC Docket No. 95-116) June 13, 2003 June 24, 2003 Comments Due: Reply Comments Due: On May 13, 2003, the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) filed a Petition for Declaratory Ruling (Petition),1 asking the Commission to clarify carrier obligations with respect to a number of local number portability (LNP) implementation issues. CTIA contends that, although many of the issues associated with the implementation of LNP have been resolved by consensus in industry fora, including the North American Numbering Council (NANC), there are a number of outstanding issues that cannot be resolved without specific direction from the Commission. We seek comment on the issues raised in the Petition. Interested parties may file comments on or before June 13, 2003. Reply comments are due June 24, 2003. Comments may be filed using the Commission's Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS) or by filing paper copies.2 Comments and reply comments should be filed in the docket number, CC Docket No. 95-116.
