C. 20554 DA 03- 1869 May 30, 2003 WIRELESS TELECOMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 52 (TEXAS – PANHANDLE, HIGH PLAINS AND NORTHWEST) 700 MHz REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES FIRST MEETING The Region 52 (Texas – Panhandle, High Plains and Northwest) 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee Convener announces that the initial meeting of Region 52 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2003, in the Hospitality Suite of the City of Amarillo Civic Center, 400 S. Buchanan St., Amarillo, Texas. The meeting of the Region 52 700 MHz National Public Safety Planning Advisory Committee will convene at 10: 00 a. m. The agenda for this meeting includes: 1. Review the status of the FCC Rules for the 700 MHz Band, 2. Review the work to date of the Public Safety National Coordination Committee, 3. Establish a Regional Planning Committee and procedural rules, 4. Elect a Chairperson, 5. Review plan elements, and 6. Form workgroups to develop the Regional Plan. The Region 52 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole purpose or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 52 would utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non- governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process.
