C. 20554 DA 03- 2031 June 19, 2003 WIRELESS TELECOMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 26 (NEBRASKA) 700 MHz REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES SECOND MEETING The Region 26 (Nebraska) 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee announces that its second meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at 9: 00 a. m., at the City of Lincoln Justice & Law Enforcement Center, 575 S. 10 th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. The purpose of the meeting is to: l. Define the RPC role in 700 MHz spectrum planning, 2. Establish Standing Committees, 3. Establish and approve bylaws, 4. Discuss use of available resources and grant monies, 5. Discuss development of draft plan, 6. Discuss 4.9 GHz issues, and 7. Set future meeting schedules. The Region 26 (Nebraska) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole purpose or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 26 would utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non- governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent your agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of new public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band are encouraged to attend.
