C. 20554 DA 03- 2520 July 28, 2003 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 19 (NEW ENGLAND) 700 MHz PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES TWELFTH PLANNING MEETING The Region 19 (New England) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee announces that its twelfth meeting will be held on September 9, 2003 at 10: 00 a. m., at the Connecticut Fire Academy, 34 Perimeter Road, Windsor Locks, Connecticut. The purpose of the meeting is to continue developing a Regional plan to meet the needs of the 700 MHz spectrum users including Public Safety, Public Health, Emergency Management and Utility services. The Region 19 Public Safety Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non- governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent your agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of new public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band should plan to attend.
