 CLARIFICATION  INTERNATIONAL  BUREAU  EXPLAINS  PROCEDURE  FOR 
 KA-  BAND  GSO-  LIKE  SATELLITE  APPLICATIONS

 On  August  12,  2003,  the  International  Bureau  announced  procedures  for  Ka-  band  licensees  to  request  reassignment  to  available  Ka-  band  locations.  1  The  attachment  to  the  Public 
 Notice  contained  a  list  of  Ka-  band  orbital  locations  available  for  reassignment.  In  this  Notice  we  clarify  that  at  the  73°  W.  L.  orbital  location,  previously  assigned  to  WildBlue,  Inc.,  only  500 
 MHz  of  spectrum  is  available.  KaStarCom  is  licensed  to  use  the  remaining  500  MHz  at  the  73°  W.  L.  orbital  location.  In  addition,  the  attachment  did  not  include  the  114.5°  E.  L.  orbital 
 location  recently  surrendered  by  SES  Americom.  Attached  is  a  revised  list  of  orbital  locations  available  for  reassignment  to  Ka-  band  licensees  pursuant  to  the  August  12,  2003  Public  Notice.
