 By  the  Assistant  Chief,  Audio  Division: 
 1.  The  Audio  Division  considers  herein  the  Notice  of  Proposed  Rule  Making  (“  Notice”)  1  ,  issued  at  the  request  of  Linda  A.  Davidson  (“  Petitioner”),  proposing  the  allotment  of  Channel  229A  to  Ridgecrest, 
 California,  as  that  community’s  fourth  FM  commercial  service.  Petitioner  filed  comments  reiterating  an  intention  to  apply  for  Channel  229A  if  allotted  to  Ridgecrest,  as  requested.  No  comments  or 
 counterproposals  were  received  in  response  to  this  proceeding. 
 2.  In  view  of  the  interest  expressed  in  providing  a  fourth  FM  commercial  service  to  Ridgecrest,  we  will  allot  Channel  229A  to  that  community,  as  requested.  As  stated  in  the  Notice,  Channel  229A  can  be 
 allotted  to  Ridgecrest,  in  compliance  with  the  Commission’s  minimum  distance  separation  requirements  at  city  reference  coordinates.  2 


 3.  Accordingly,  pursuant  to  the  authority  found  in  Sections  4(  i),  5(  c)(  1),  303(  g)  and  (r)  and  307(  b)  of  the  Communications  Act  of  1934,  as  amended,  and  Sections  0.61,  0.204(  b)  and  0.283  of  the 
 Commission’s  rules,  IT  IS  ORDERED,  That  effective  November  17,  2003,  the  FM  Table  of  Allotments,  Section  73.202(  b)  of  the  Commission’s  Rules,  IS  AMENDED,  with  respect  to  the  community  listed 
 below,  to  read  as  follows: 
 Community  Channel  No. 
 Ridgecrest,  California  224A,  229A,  252A,  285B1 


 4.  The  window  period  for  filing  applications  for  Channel  229A  at  Ridgecrest  will  not  be  opened  at  this  time.  Instead,  the  issue  of  opening  this  allotment  for  auction  will  be  addressed  by  the  Commission  in  a 
 subsequent  order.
