C. 20554 DA 03- 3013 October 1, 2003 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU REGION 42 (VIRGINIA) PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES REGION 42 800 MHZ (NPSPAC) REGIONAL PLANNING MEETING (PR DOCKET NO. 91- 300) The Region 42 (Virginia) 800 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee announces that its next planning meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at 2: 00 pm at the Clarion Hotel Roanoke Airport, 3315 Ordway Drive, N. W., Roanoke, Virginia. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss pending Region 42 800 MHz license application matters and to receive any new license applications that may be submitted. This meeting is open to the public. In accordance with the Public Safety National Plan, each region is responsible for planning its use of public safety radio frequency spectrum in the 821- 824/ 866- 869 MHz bands. 1 The Virginia (Region 42) 800 MHz Region Committee is responsible for planning public safety radio frequency spectrum usage in Virginia. It is essential that participants be representatives of all eligible public safety providers in order to ensure that your agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent your agency’s needs. The Committee solicits active participation by representatives of eligible entities. Anyone interested in public safety communications is welcome to attend this meeting.
