Docket No. 92- 189) Comment Date: November 10, 2003 Reply Date: November 25, 2003 On August 6, 2003, the Region 10 (Georgia) Public Safety Regional Planning Committee submitted a proposed major amendment to its 821- 824/ 866- 869 MHz (800 MHz) Public Safety Plan. The plan amendment would revise the frequency allocation process as well as the current channel allotments and frequency allocations. An inventory list of the revisions “Attachment 1- Region 10 Plan Revisions” (attached), was submitted with the amendment. Letters of concurrence have been received from each of the five adjacent regions: Region 1 (Alabama), 9 (Florida), 31 (North Carolina), 37 (South Carolina) and 39 (Tennessee). In accordance with the Public Safety National Plan, each region is responsible for planning its use of public safety radio frequency spectrum in the 800 MHz bands. 1 The Public Safety Plan for Region 10 governs the use of 800 MHz spectrum assignments within Georgia. The original Plan was adopted by the Commission on October 9, 1992. 2 The Commission is soliciting comments from the public before taking action on this proposed plan amendment. Interested parties may file comments on the Region 10 Plan Amendment Request on or before November 10, 2003. Parties interested in submitting reply comments must do so on or before November 25, 2003. Page 3, Section 2.1 – Delete the last two sentences of the last paragraph. 4. Page 4, Section 2.4 – 2 nd paragraph – 1st sentence – Change the “Georgia APCO local frequency advisors” to “Georgia State Frequency Coordinator” and -6 th sentence – change “Local APCO Frequency Advisor” to “Georgia State Frequency Coordinator”. 5. Page 5, Section 3.0 – 2 nd sentence - change the “APCO” to “Georgia State” 6. Page 6, Section 3.4 – Delete 2 nd paragraph and insert new 2 nd paragraph, “Channels have been allocated for a statewide radio communications system.
