C. 20554 DA 03- 3485 October 31, 2003 WIRELESS TELECOMUNICATIONS BUREAU REGION 40 (NORTHERN TEXAS) 700 MHz PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES SIXTH MEETING The Region 40 (Northern Texas) 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee announces that its sixth meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at 2: 00 p. m., at the Collin County Sheriff’s Office, 4300 Community Boulevard, McKinney, Texas. The agenda for this meeting includes the following items: 1. Approve minutes of the previous meeting, 2. Review and discuss the final Regional Plan, 3. Convening of the 4.9 GHz committee, and appointment of chairman, 4. Presentation of consultant’s report on interoperability, 5. Other Business, and 6. Schedule Location and Next Meeting date. The Region 40 (Northern Texas) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. State and local governments and certain nongovernmental organizations that provide public safety services are eligible for licensing in the 700 MHz band. (See Section 90.523, FCC Rules for details.) All government eligibles, including Native American Tribal Governments, as well as nongovernmental eligibles should be represented at these meetings to ensure that each entity’s future spectrum needs are considered in the planning process. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non- governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process.
