C. 20554 DA 03- 3567 November 7, 2003 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 3 (ARIZONA) 700 MHz PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES NEXT MEETING The Region 3 (Arizona) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee announces that its next meeting will be held on January 7, 2004 from 1: 00 p. m. until 4: 30 p. m. at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts (2 nd Floor HR Training Room), 7384 East 2 nd Street, Scottsdale, Arizona. The agenda for this meeting will include sub- committee planning time for the newly formed 4.9 GHz band, Implementation, Technical, and Interoperability sub- committees. The Region 3 (Arizona) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. State and local governments and certain nongovernmental organizations that provide public safety services are eligible for licensing in the 700 MHz band. (See Section 90.523, FCC Rules for details.) All governmental eligibles, including Native American Tribal Governments, as well as nongovernmental eligibles should be represented at these meetings to ensure that each entity’s future spectrum needs are considered in the planning process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent your agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of new public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band, or the newly allocated 4.9 GHz band within Region 3 are encouraged to attend.
