C. 20554 DA 03- 3568 November 7, 2003 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 39 (TENNESSEE) 700 MHz PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES NEXT MEETING The Region 39 (Tennessee) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee announces that its next meeting will be held on December 11, 2003 at 9: 00 a. m., at the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency, Region 2 Conference Room, Ellington Agricultural Center, 5105 Edmondson Pike, Nashville, Tennessee. The agenda for this meeting is to discuss and further develop the Region 39 700 MHz Plan. The Region 39 (Tennessee) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. State and local governments and certain nongovernmental organizations that provide public safety services are eligible for licensing in the 700 MHz band. (See Section 90.523, FCC Rules for details.) All government eligibles, including Native American Tribal Governments, as well as nongovernmental eligibles should be represented at these meetings to ensure that each entity’s future spectrum needs are considered in the planning process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent your agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of new public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band, or the newly allocated 4.9 GHz band within Region 39 are encouraged to attend.
