On September 18, 1996, TCI- TKR of Northern Kentucky, Inc. d/ b/ a TKR Cable of Northern Kentucky (“ TKR”) filed with the Commission a Petition for Reconsideration of Memorandum Opinion and Order, DA 96- 1260 issued by the former Cable Services Bureau (“ Bureau”) on August 19, 1996. The Bureau’s order denied the appeal filed by TKR on January 10, 1995 of a local rate order adopted by the Telecommunications Board of Northern Kentucky (“ Board”). 1 TKR also filed a Petition for Review and Emergency Petition for Stay on February 14, 1997 of a rate order adopted by the Board on January 15, 1997. 2. In a letter filed on October 31, 2003, Insight Communications Corporation (“ Insight”), successor- in- interest to TKR informed the Commission that the issues raised in those pleadings are now moot. Insight states that a Commission ruling on these matters is no longer necessary and requests that the petitions be dismissed. 3. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that the request to dismiss the petitions filed by Insight Communications Corporation, successor- in- interest of TCI- TKR of Northern Kentucky, Inc. d/ b/ a TKR Cable of Northern Kentucky IS GRANTED and the Petition for Reconsideration filed on September 18, 1996 and the Petition for Review and Petition for Stay filed on February 14, 1997 ARE DISMISSED. 1 The Board is formerly known as the Kenton/ Boone Counties Cable Television Board. 1 Federal Communications Commission DA 03- 3659 2 4.
