C. 20554 DA 03- 4067 December 22, 2003 WIRELESS TELECOMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 4 (ARKANSAS) 700 MHz REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES FIRST MEETING The Region 4 (Arkansas) 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee announces that its first meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at the Pulaski County Road and Bridge Administration Building, 3200 Brown Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204. The Region 4 meeting will convene at 10: 00 a. m. The agenda for this meeting includes: 1. Establish a 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee (RPC), 2. Elect a Chairperson, 3. Create a RPC meeting schedule, 4. Review the RPC Committee Process, and 5. Review 700 MHz band development to date. The Region 4 (Arkansas) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole purpose or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 4 would utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent your agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of new Public Safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band are encouraged to attend.
