C. 20554 DA 04- 130 January 23, 2004 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 7 (COLORADO) 700 MHz PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES PLANNING MEETING The Region 7 (Colorado) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee announces that its next planning meeting will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2004 at 10: 00 a. m., at the Adams County, ADCOM Center, 7321 Birch Street, Commerce City, Colorado. The purpose for this meeting is to review the regional plan for 700 MHz and 4.9 GHz spectrum use as prepared by the work group, which is seeking recommendations and/ or approval of their submittal. The Region 7 700 MHz/ 4.9 GHz Public Safety Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole purpose or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Colorado would utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non- governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent your agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of either the new public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band and/ or the newly allocated 4.9 GHz band within Region 7 are encouraged to attend.
