Purpose & Functions The purpose of the Committee is to make recommendations to the Commission regarding consumer issues within the jurisdiction of the Commission and to facilitate the participation of consumers (including people with disabilities and underserved populations, such as Native Americans and persons living in rural areas) in proceedings before the Commission. Meeting Date The next meeting of the Committee will take place on Friday, June 18, 2004, 9: 00 A. M. to 4: 00 P. M., at the Commission’s Headquarters Building, Room TW- C305, 445 12 th Street, S. W., Washington, DC 20554. Meeting Agenda At its June 18, 2004 meeting, the Committee will (1) receive briefings by FCC staff regarding Agency activities; (2) receive a progress report from its Broadband Working Group; and (3) brief by its Homeland Security working group regarding problems and solutions raised at the March 25th homeland security disability summit. The Committee will also discuss truth in billing issues with representatives of public and private stakeholders. Time will be allotted between 10: 00 A. M. and 12: 00 P. M. for working group breakout sessions. The Committee is organized under, and operates in accordance with, the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, 5 U. S. C., App. 2 (1988). Minutes of meetings are available for public inspection at the FCC and are posted on the Commission's Web site at www. fcc. gov/ cgb/ cac.
