C. 20554 DA 04- 249 February 3, 2004 WIRELESS TELECOMUNICATIONS BUREAU ACTION REGION 26 (NEBRASKA) 700 MHz REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES FOURTH MEETING The Region 26 (Nebraska) 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee announces that its fourth meeting will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2004 at 1: 00 p. m., at the Platte County Courthouse, basement level, 2610 14 th Street, Columbus, Nebraska. The purpose of the meeting is to: l. Approve the bylaws, 2. Review the first draft of the 700 MHz plan, 3. Discuss progress on 4.9 GHz issues, 4. Elect officers, and 5. Set future meeting schedules. The Region 26 (Nebraska) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole purpose or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 26 would utilize these frequencies. It is essential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent your agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of new public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band or the newly allocated 4.9 GHz band are encouraged to attend.
